DIY Myford Lathe Stand
Sometimes you need to make your own gear to fit a specific space or requirement. I made this lathe stand for my Myfold ML7 from 40mm box section steel. I arc welded it to give it meat at the joints rather than TIG welding. I did think about fillet welding it with brass and lacquering the frame, but due to time restraints cracked on with the low hydrogen rods. Turned out all right. Just need to enamel paint it now. Happy days.

Second Batch
Over the next couple of weeks I am going to make a new batch of cyclocross studs.
Give me a shout if interested, they won't hang around for long if the last batch are anything to go by.
Fraser from The Happy Cog should have a stock at the forth coming Superquaich races.

Hand Made Cyclocross studs
Above are a few shots of the cyclocross studs I have been fabricating on the lathe.
I couldn't find any stainless steel studs in the UK so decided to knock some up.
They are marine grade stainless steel, 14.0mm long and perfect for Scottish conditions.
Just use a 10mm spanner to tighten into the shoe.
